Trump & Republicans Prove They Don't Care If Women & Babies Die

Abortion bans & billionaire tax cuts, are killing women and will deprive American babies and children of food & healthcare. Republicans just don't care.

Republicans really don’t care if women die. They don’t care if babies and children die and they actually really don’t care if men happen to die too.

I think it’s important to take time out from reporting on the frightening new anti abortion legislation and how it affects people like you across the country - to simply state that important fact.

Understanding that Republicans don’t care that women, babies and children are dying a result of their abortion laws and understanding why they don’t care, explains why they aren’t stopping any of their actions and will bring on more death with their ‘Big Beautiful” budget cuts.

Instead they are drawing their deathly noose around women - their first target - tighter and tighter with new even more extreme abortion laws including one in Texas that will allow women to be prosecuted and jailed for getting an abortion.

Their second target is your children and your babies- from newborns on up. After all babies and kids don’t get to vote. That’s why Trump and his Congressional enablers have taken a chainsaw their Medicaid coverage in the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ they have forced through Congress by one vote. Thirty -seven million U.S. children get their healthcare through Medicaid . That’s half of all children in the U.S.

In order to give his huge tax cuts to himself, Elon Musk and his billionaire pals, Trump is on his way to kicking almost half the country’s kids off their Medicaid healthcare coverage.

Why would he and his wildly, wealthy friends care whether children get check ups and vaccines, anyway. They don’t.

They also don’t care whether America’s low income children get to eat. Axed in the “Big Beautiful Bill” are free school lunches and breakfasts and the SNAP ( food stamps) program has been slashed by $267 billion.

Oh, and let me just add one more example of how little Trump and the Republicans, who constantly call themselves the “pro family” party, care about the health of your children. The anti vaxxer Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr, is continuing to promote drinking raw unpasteurized milk.

His new nominee for the highly important post of Surgeon General is a wellness anti vaxxer influencer, Dr. Casey Means, who also can’t get enough of drinking raw milk.

Between RFK Jr and Means, they will no doubt convince thousands of parents that it is safe and very healthy to give your children raw milk to drink.

They don’t care if your children get sick and even die from unpasteurized milk which is full of bacteria including the dangerous tuberculosis bacteria. Most Americans sadly know nothing of life in America before they were born, but in 1841 almost half of the children in NYC who all drank unpasteurized milk, died before the age of 5.

Then in 1891, raw milk was specifically linked to the deaths of 23% of children in the city. After a pasteurizing ‘milk laboratory’ was set up in NYC by the philanthropic co-founder of Macy’s, the children’s mortality rate quickly fell by half in the city. After 1910, the NYC government made it illegal to sell unpasteurized milk in the city.

DONALD TRUMP HAS ZERO INTEREST IN PROTECTING CHILDREN

However, unlike NYC’s government before WW1, RFK Jr and Trump have zero interest in protecting children. After all, kids can’t vote Trump out of office so they are a safe target for his budget cuts so he can pay for his billionaire tax cuts. He doesn’t care if they get sick and die.

That’s also why healthcare and food assistance is going bye bye for the nations non voting ‘babies.’

But now back to Trump and the Republican party’s number number one target for health care cutbacks of a different kind- even if that results in death - America’s women.

After the Supreme Court finally gave women the freedom to decide when and if they wanted to have children in 1973, Republicans crusaded for 50 years to take that reproductive freedom away.

When The Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade in 2022, they finally got their wish and Republican - led states swiftly went to town, passing the most extreme abortion bans they could dream up.

The Republican lawmakers who rushed to pump out their bans claimed tearily that they had to protect all the ilttle, defenseless ‘unborn’ babies.

But, that is complete and utter BS. Their abortions bans which affect about a third of American women are not about saving the ‘preborn’ so that they become cherubic well-cared for ‘born’ children babies.

If they were , then Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson and 215 Republican members of Congress wouldn’t have just taken away their healthcare, now that they are living outside their mother’s wombs..

No, Republicans goal is and always has been - to take away women’s bodily autonomy and independence.

ABORTION BANS ARE ABOUT CONTROLLING WOMEN

If they can control women through extreme abortion bans , they control 51% of the population in one fell swoop. And Republicans want to control as many of America’s citizens as they can, so they can consolidate their iron grip on power.

Ending women’s reproductive freedom makes a lot of sense as a ‘control’ strategy if you think about it. The problem with trying to control men, is that their biology protects them from being ‘naturally’ restricted by having to grow another human being inside their bodies and then to feed it for months, if not years.

But If women can’t get abortions and instead are forced to have babies, many will have to give up their ambitions to finish high school, or go to college to have careers and be financially independent.

When they aren’t financially independent then many are forced to stay in unhappy relationships and marriages where they aren’t competing with men for jobs that many men feel entitled to.

See the logic.

Donald Trump gained massive support from young men in the 2024 elections by stoking men’s grievances and resentments that they haven’t been getting the “dues” that society owes them ‘naturally’. Trump was unashamedly clear that the culprits were all those upstart ambitious bitches in the country like Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.

Trump ‘s message was and continues to be that undeserving women, who have been given an unfair DEI boost have somehow taken away men’s opportunities. To stop this, they need to be kept out of military combat roles where they can be promoted and out of the corporate world, and especially out of executive decision - making offices.

Trump’s mission is to be to rid the country of the ‘wokeness’ has allowed women to get ahead in modern America.

That’s why women need to be put back into their traditional roles - married to heterosexual men, pregnant and in the kitchen.

“The white male-dominated Republican party wants to assert power and control over women’s bodies,” Mimi Tammaraju, the president of Reproductive Freedom For All, tells me. “They want to control women’s bodies, because they want us out of the workforce.”

“They want to rollback gender equity, they’re against pay equity, they’re against paid family leave because … they don’t want a level playing field with white men because it decreases their power.”

That’s why extreme abortion bans with no exceptions for rape, incest, fatal fetal anomalies and the health of the mother, come in so handy for fulfilling their power goals.

And that’s why Texas Republicans don’t care that since Texas implemented the first abortion ban in the country, maternal mortality has skyrocketed in the state by 56%.

They don’t care that three young women - all pregnant with much - wanted babies, have already been documented to die in Texas hospitals after being refused timely ‘standard’ miscarriage treatments, thanks to the state’s abortion bans.

And who can blame Texas doctors for being afraid to touch miscarrying women. If they had performed D&C procedures on these women to prevent them from bleeding to death, they could have been charged with giving them an abortion since the D&C empties a uterus of all material, including the fetus.

Then they would face 99 years in jail.

PREGNANT WOMEN DON’T GET THE SAME CARE AS ANIMALS

That’s why these three young women all died in modern hospitals with 21st Century medicine and treatments being given every where else in those hospitals, but not to them because they were pregnant. Two of the women were already moms and now 3 children will grow up without mommies.

In Red states with abortion bans, pregnant women aren’t even getting the urgent care that sick animals can get from veterinarians. They are in a special untouchable class created by Republicans.

Now, Texas Republicans, who have led the way on extreme abortion bans, are tightening their grip on the lives of pregnant women in their state even more. Their Senate has already passed a bill, SB2880, which allows for women to be criminally prosecuted for getting themselves out of Texas to get a surgical or medication abortion in a state where abortions are still legal.

They will face 2 to 5 years in prison, as will anyone else - husbands, boyfriends, mothers, friends, who help them leave Texas. And anyone who helps them escape the state can also be sued for $100,000 under this bill by a bounty hunter, who can be located anywhere in the country.

Talk about controlling women. And keep in mind, that many of the women fleeing Texas for out of state abortions are carrying babies who are unviable or whose pregnancies are endangering their future fertility and even their lives.

Instead of Texas Republicans trying to save the lives of pregnant women, they are doubling down on laws that can kill them.

And they don’t care about the lives of babies either, despite their sanctimonious claims of trying to protect the ‘preborn.’

That’s a giant whopper. Since Texas passed its first abortion ban law in 2021, a bill called SB8, the infant mortality rate in Texas, soared almost 13% in just the first year after the ban.

No other state has had a similar increase in its newborns dying during the same time period. In fact, aside from in Texas, infant deaths decreased 3.1% nationwide. The reason for Texas’s increase is a direct result of its two abortion bans. Almost 23% of the deceased babies died due to congenital abnormalities, which means they were born with conditions that condemned them to die just minutes, hours or days after birth.

And just think of the trauma inflicted upon those moms forced to carry babies that they knew were doomed and then having to watch them die painfully before their eyes.

I spoke to one Texas mother, Samantha Casiano, whose baby daughter, Halo, was diagnosed with anencephaly, which meant that she was missing parts of her brain and skull and could never survive after birth.

Samantha was forced to carry her kicking baby for three months knowing each day that she couldn’t give her the gift of “releasing her to heaven.”

Instead, she told me that she had to watch Halo suffer as she struggled to breathe for 4 hours after birth, while she suffocated to death.

That’s what Texas Republicans have sentenced babies like Halo to, while they declare that they are protecting them.

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT BABIES WHEN THEY ARE ‘PREBORN’

Just listen to this hypocrisy from Texas Senator Bryan Hughes, the author of the terrifying SB2880 bill, which also places a bounty on anyone who provides abortion pills to pregnant Texas women. FYI he was also the author of the state’s first abortion ban, SB8, which passed a year before Roe V Wade was overturned. The Supreme Court declined to over turn it.

“I’m speaking about the unborn baby sleeping in her mother’s womb - most innocent, helpless and worthy of our protection. None of us can forget about her. Her life is on the line while these poisonous pills ( abortion pills) are mailed from out of state,” he contends. “Women have been victimized by these chemical pills.”

But his concern and the concern of other Republican lawmakers, including Trump’s, for the lives of embryos and fetuses ends once the ‘preborn’ becomes a born baby.

Like I said above, once are born, almost half the children in the US will now no longer have healthcare coverage or enough to eat thanks to Trump and his new ‘beautiful’ budget bill. They also won’t be able to get vaccines, because the Health and Human Services Secretary doesn’t care if they get preventable diseases like measles, just like the two needlessly dead unvaccinated children in Texas.

FYI, neither Trump, RFK Jr or any Republicans cared either about the 1,000, 000 Americans who died of Covid, including 319,000, whose deaths could have been prevented if Trumplicans hadn’t fueled crazy conspiracy theories about the Covid vaccines.

So you see what I mean. Republicans do not care if women, their babies, or even men die unnecessarily. Their only goal is to gain and hold on to power.

If they can succeed in turning back the clock for 65 years - before the birth control pill became available - and turn women back into baby- producing machines, that puts them firmly control of over half the country’s citizens.

If you don’t believe me, just consider how far the Republican -led state of Georgia is willing to go. A 30 year-old brain dead Atlanta woman has been kept alive, against her family’s wishes , on life support for three months in order to keep her fetus alive.

That’s because of Georgia’s 6 week abortion ban which gives the dead woman’s fetus ‘personhood.’

Hypocritically, once that baby is born, neither Georgia or Donald Trump will care whether he gets enough to eat, gets any healthcare or even dies. They just don’tF##g care.
