Donald Trump Just Slammed The Door On Your Daughters' Futures

A tragic helicopter and plane crash was all it took for Trump to blurt out exactly what he plans for women - putting them back in 'their place.'

Women and the daughters you love - the future women of America - will have no role of true responsibility in Donald Trump’s Manosphere of America.

Trump made that perfectly clear when he jumped in front of cameras and declared with zero evidence that the first commercial airplane crash since 2009 was caused by Obama and Biden’s policies of promoting DEI in the federal workforce.

The same guy who nominated vaccine conspiracist RFK Jr., Putin propagandist Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence and party animal Matt Gaetz, for Attorney General, pronounced that “we have to have brilliant people in those positions," referring to pilots and air traffic controllers.

As if brilliant people couldn’t be women or people with color or people all of whom he and his allies have derided as “DEI” hires.

Case in point, Trump called Kamala Harris, “dumb as a rock” and at least two House Republican Representatives have maligned her as a “DEI hire.”

When Donald Trump was asked if he had any evidence to support his assertion that Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives caused the plane/ helicopter crash, he snapped back: “Because I have common sense. And many people don’t.”

The question I’d like answered is : did Trump already know that one of the two pilots on board the Black Hawk helicopter that smashed into an American Airlines flight, was a woman - Durham North Carolina native Captain Rebecca Lobach, 28?

The other helicopter pilot on board was the senior pilot, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Lloyd Eaves, 39.

It sure seems like Trump had already been informed and was preemptively laying the blame on Capt Lobach.

Remember, his newly minted Defense Secretary an alleged rapist and former Fox weekend co-host, Pete Hegseth, had infamously told a podcaster that the U.S. military “should not have women in combat roles”and that “men in those positions are more capable.”

And Hegseth was quick to back up Trump’s allegation that DEI was the reason that the 3 military members and 64 crew and passengers on board American Airlines Flight 5342 were now sadly, dead.

It’s no wonder that Captain Rebecca Lobach’s family requested that her name be withheld from the public for over 24 hours, which is apparently an unusual request. They no doubt understood that their precious daughter who was able to march 12 miles with a 45 pack on her back and was hoping to soon fly in combat, would be targeted by Trump.

That’s right, Capt Lobach had a DEI target placed on her back by Trump, just like other women will now too if they hope to work their way up in any of their chosen careers.

Trump’s very clear message is that women can only be air traffic controllers, pilots and in fact, in the senior ranks anywhere in federal government agencies if they can somehow prove they are more ‘brilliant’ than white Christian men.

And he is also very loudly badmouthing DEI at every turn by essentially threatening all American companies who continue efforts to hire a diverse workforce - which will include your daughters.

In his first 13 days in office, one of his very first orders was to scrub all federal government agencies of references to diversity, equity and inclusion.

While this was partly aimed at trying to make being transgender illegal - which is God awful in itself - it’s also aimed at asserting Trump and his Christian Nationalist allies’ belief that women, people of color, all LGBTQ and disabled people are somehow less capable of performing in jobs than white Christian men.

DEMONIZING DEI IS CODE FOR DEMEANING WOMEN

If this sounds super creepy and very Handmaidsy, it is. But this is real. I’m not talking about some science fiction TV show - this is happening right now, every day in our country and it’s being led by the duly elected president.

Let me just explain what the maligned DEI policy was supposed to do since it’s now being treated like polio. ( oh wait, Trumpies actually like polio now) .

“Diversity is embracing the differences everyone brings to the table, whether those are someone’s race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability or other aspects of social identity.”

Equity is: “treating everyone fairly and providing equal opportunities.”

And Inclusion is: “respecting everyone’s voice and creating a culture in which people from all backgrounds feel encouraged to express their ideas and perspectives.”

That’s according to 7 DEI experts consulted by CNN.

Does that all sound terrible to you? All men and women being created equal and entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness - isn’t that exactly what America is and what DEI is trying to enable?

DEI means that you - if you are a woman- and your daughters, can actually be judged by your own merits, regardless of your gender. It’s not giving you a leg up, just an opportunity to be on the same level playing field as the people who have historically been promoted to the top in most professions in the country - men and more specifically, white men.

It wasn’t all that long ago - in the 50’s and early 60’s, a time that MAGA seems to want to go back to - that women were almost entirely consigned to just three professions: teaching, nursing and as typists.

Case in point - even though the ‘brilliant’ late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg graduated at the top of her class at Columbia Law School in 1959, she couldn’t get a job practicing with an NYC law firm…because she was a woman and mother.

Is that see the future you dream of for yourself or your daughters?

Don’t you want an equal opportunity in the work force? An equal chance to get to fly helicopters in combat, become a plumber, a doctor or a cabinet secretary?

Instead you and your beloved daughters are now considered members of the biggest group of “others” in Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth and Elon Musk’s world.

FYI Elon Musk claimed that “DEI means people die,”when he tried to blame the ferocious L.A. fires on the fact that L.A County’s fire chief is a woman - Kristin Crowley.

Cowley, who proved herself in the ranks of the LAFD through 22 years of service had to endure endless abusive accusations that she was a DEI hire, as she directed her firefighters to battle numerous blazes.

Fortunately her boss wasn’t Donald Trump and the Union of Firefighters of Los Angeles City publicly announced that they “ supported her 110%.”

However, the fact that Trump and all his allies have turned DEI into a dirty word, isn’t the only way that he’s trying to shut doors to your daughter’s futures.

He and his Republican state bros have been very busy endangering you and your daughter’s abilities to get abortion, miscarriage and even pregnancy care throughout the country.

This is serious business.

While you go about living your life, Louisiana Republican Attorney General Liz Murrill ( I guess the Republicans don’t consider one of their own female hires, doing their business, a DEI recipient) - criminally charged NY doctor Margaret Carpenter, the co -founder of Abortion Coalition of Telemedicine, for prescribing and mailing the abortion pill, mifepristone to a Louisiana teenager.

Dr. Carpenter is legally allowed in her home state of NY to send the pills all over the country and NY Attorney general Letitia James and NY Governor Kathy Hochul have her back.

“This cowardly attempt out of Louisiana to weaponize the law against out-of-state providers is unjust and un-American,” James announced.”We will not allow bad actors to undermine our providers' ability to deliver critical care. Medication abortion is safe, effective, and necessary, and New York will ensure that it remains available to all Americans who need it."

Carpenter, who has already been sued civilly by rabid anti abortion Texas AG Ken Paxton, was forcefully defended by her organization against the Louisiana charges.

“The case out of Louisiana against a licensed New York doctor is the latest in a series of threats that jeopardizes women’s access to reproductive healthcare throughout this country. The FDA-approved medicine in the two step protocol for a medication abortion has been proven safe and effective globally for decades. It is an essential part of women’s healthcare.

Make no mistake, since Roe v Wade was overturned, we've witnessed a disturbing pattern of interference with women’s rights. It’s no secret the United States has a history of violence and harassment against abortion providers, and this state-sponsored effort to prosecute a doctor providing safe and effective care should alarm everyone.”

PRETENDING TO PROTECT WOMEN BY PULLING AWAY OUR RIGHTS

Yes, it should alarm you and every woman who doesn’t want the government forcing her to have a baby even if she can’t afford it or a pregnancy will endanger her heath or future fertility.

What’s even scarier in the Louisiana case is that the Attorney General has charged the mother of the teen girl, who actually ordered the abortion pills, with coercing her daughter to have an abortion.

Now, no one - besides the mom and daughter - knows at this point if there is any truth to this charge but criminally punishing a parent for allegedly “coercing” their under age daughter to have an abortion is a new tactic that Republicans are wielding.

They are doing this under the pretense that they are “protecting” women and teenage girls. Remember when Trump announced that he would “protect women” whether we liked it or not?”

He and the extremist anti abortion groups donating to him like to pretend that they are only looking out for us poor little naive women and teenage girls while they rip our rights away and put us in potentially life threatening danger every time we get pregnant.

It’s maddening!

So the party that demands that parents must have “rights” over what books their children read at school and whether their children can get lifesaving vaccines, now insists that parents have no right to help a teenage daughter who is desperate for an abortion.

Hmm, can we say - double standard.

You can almost see the smoke coming out of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s ears since 105 teenage girls fled the state in the first half of 2023 to get abortions. And almost certainly, a parent had to be involved in helping each of them .

Texas by the way, has no exceptions for rape or incest and at least six children, 11 or younger had to escape this female- controlling state for urgent health care .

Now, Trump hasn’t dropped any new guillotines on abortion and contraceptive access .. yet.

He’s been too busy illegally giving Elon Musk access to all your personal information through the Treasury Department computer system, and firing FBI agents and federal prosecutors who oversaw Jan 6th cases.

But you and I and your daughters can’t relax.

Trump’s nominee to head the Office of Management and Budget, Russ Vought is a Christian Nationalist, anti abortion zealot , who wants to ban access to the extremely safe abortion pill, mifepristone and to enforce the 1873 Comstock Act, to outlaw the transport of abortion pills and any surgical equipment used for abortions, across state lines.

And he’s just one of the abortion - demonizing, woman -controlling bros empowered by Trump in his new regime.

What I’m trying to do with this column - and I so appreciate your support - is to connect the dots between all the scary and formerly unthinkable things that Trump is doing, so you can see how none of it is random.

He is executing on a well - thought out plan to as Mark Zuckerberg put it - to add “masculine energy” into every aspect of his regime. And that means repressing every bit of female power in the country that he can.

Oh, and by the way. While Trump was blaming DEI for the DC helicopter/ plane disaster, he was deflecting from what actually is fact - that Elon Musk pushed out the head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Jan 20 and Trump fired all members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee who are responsible for aviation safety.

Just saying.
