Thank you for another great story.

Im glad to read someone writing about the babies with fatal malformations suffering as they die. I think the electeds and anti-abortion folks should be forced to watch along with the parents as the child struggles and dies. I wish they would have to witness the dying, and forever be cursed with the memory.

That would stop this shit.

The problem is that I don't even think that witnessing the suffering would change their approach. They seem to enjoy the cruelty that they are inflicting on people. MAGA is a movement - with Trump setting the tone - that revels in cruelty. Just look at how they are unmoved by the horrible deaths of children in school shootings like Uvalde & Parkland. They don't care about human suffering.

This is the sort of stuff that just infuriates me beyond reason. How awful for these women and their families.

This article says “incomplete abortion” and “incomplete miscarriage” which is it?

An incomplete abortion is when someone takes abortion medication but occasionally the abortion doesn’t fully expel all the of the fetal remains & other contents of the uterus. When this happens , those remains start an infection leading to sepsis in the uterus plus the uterus keeps trying to eject the remains by spasming & bleeding & bleeding. Both sepsis & non stop bleeding can lead to a woman’s death without a D & C to empty the uterus . An incomplete miscarriage is when the woman’s body naturally ends what is probably an unviable pregnancy because there is something wrong with the fetus. However, the uterus doesn’t naturally eject all of the remains of the fetus & pregnancy material. Infection & bleeding - the same as an incomplete abortion - begins. And death can ensue without a D & C & antibiotics. Several women in Georgia & Texas have now been documented to have died from incomplete abortions & miscarriages when medical treatment was denied to them in a normal timeframe.

In 1973, Roe v Wade was passed, finally giving women the right to make choices about their own body.

In 1976, the pro-life movement made a deal with the Republican Party to help get them elected, if they backed their lies about abortion care.

The doctors are just trying to follow the laws, put in place by republicans.

STOP VOTING FOR REPUBLICANS!!

This is not a sports team. Join the democratic party, if you think women should have the right to make choices about their own body.

She didn’t have the income to go to another state or anyone to care for her other 4 children while she was away. She was really trapped & needed an abortion at 20 weeks. But a D & C in Texas would have been considered an abortion.
